Grandma Rose’s Tuna Salad

2 stalks celery, chopped
7 small cornichon pickles, chopped (or relish)
1 can of albacore white tuna
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1-1/2 teaspoons white vinegar
Salt and pepper to taste

  • Chop celery and pickles
  • Drain tuna of all liquids from the can
  •  Add all ingredients to a medium sized bowl
  • Mix together with fork until all ingredients are sufficiently together and tuna is shredded.
  • Top with extra cornichons
  • Enjoy on a sandwich or with crackers! It’s also really good on a tuna melt with cheddar cheese

Growing up I would visit my grandma Rose in Boca Raton.  She would make this for lunch after we got back from the pool.

Afterwards, she would chop up cantaloupe and we would do our nails or play gin rummy.
