(mom’s) ital soup

  • coconut milk
  • mustard oil
  • hot sesame oil
  • vegetable stock
  • garlic
  • chili
  • soy sauce
  • potatoes
  • baby corn 
  • bok choy
  • lotus root
  • okra

  1. in a pot add stock, coconut milk, oils, garlic, and chili and bring to a simmer
  2. add the potato and cook until soft (~10 minutes)
  3. add bok choy
  4. remove from heat
  5. add soy sauce, salt and pepper to taste


a modification on the jamaican ital soup using whatever vegetables we have available
